SNSPA – part of the EDMO regional hub to combat disinformation

Starting from December 2022, SNSPA is part of the Bulgarian-Romanian Observatory of Digital Media (BROD) project, which aims to create a Romanian-Bulgarian hub for analyzing and combating disinformation, which will work under the auspices of the European Digital Media Observatory (EDMO). In this project, SNSPA participates together with partners from Bulgaria (Bulgarian National Television, Vitosha Research EOOD, Sirma AI EAD – ONTOTEXT, National Training Center), Slovakia (GLOBSEC), France (Agence France Presse), Greece (Athens Technology Center) and Romania (Funky Citizens, XWIKI SOFTWARE SRL, Center for Independent Journalism Foundation). The project is coordinated by GATE Institute (Bulgaria).

The project aims to create a multinational, multi-stakeholder, and multidisciplinary regional hub for detecting, analysing and combating disinformation circulating in Bulgaria and Romania. BROD hub will offer world-leading expertise, locally adapted multilingual tools, and capabilities for rapid detection and analysis of disinformation campaigns.
